jewelry is another form of patchwork. i work explicitly with salvaged material from flea markets and thrift. the technique i use most is called assemblage. i collage and fix together pieces of chain, pendants, rings, and broken jewelry to create new forms. the jewelry is made from non-precious metals and connects pieces of costume jewelry from different decades. the pieces can be layered or worn individually.
